You have an endless supply of negative thoughts. Might as well use them for good.
In the past 50 days, I've applied this process with clients, witnessing remarkable boosts in confidence:
Increasing prices and generating sales
Clarifying the value offered to clients
Focusing more on priorities and less on distractions
Building healthier habits
Establishing robust internal support systems
Transitioning from pondering to action in business development
Asserting desires and boundaries in personal relationships
Strengthening connections with family and friends
Cultivating peace of mind amidst uncertainty
All achieved by clarifying how they operate and integrating it into their daily lives.
The question is - where would more confidence help you? Because I want to help you with that.
You have something you want more of for your business or life (more money, time, etc.).
There is a reason you don't have that thing already (not enough time, leads, or trust, etc.)
If you run that reason through the five steps of the Powder Day Mindset, you'll find a new solution and begin implementing it.
Repeat the PDM until you achieve your goal.
So what is your goal and what's the reason you don't have it already?
Failure is a greater teacher than success. Listen, learn, and go on.
- Oprah Winfrey
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don’t try to forget the mistakes, but you don’t dwell on it.
- Johnny Cash
The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it.
- Barak Obama

Emotional Impact: Failure can trigger disappointment, frustration, and even shame. These emotions can make it hard to look objectively at what went wrong.
Fear of Repeating Mistakes: We worry that revisiting failures will lead to repeating them. This fear can prevent us from digging deeper into the lessons they hold.
Focus on the Outcome, Not the Process: We often equate success with results, so when things don’t work out, we see it as a dead end rather than a step in the learning process.
Self-Criticism: Many of us are harder on ourselves than on anyone else. This tendency to self-criticize makes it difficult to see failures as growth opportunities rather than personal shortcomings.
Lack of a Structured Process: Without a clear framework to analyze and learn from failure, it’s easy to feel lost or overwhelmed.
Understanding these challenges is the first step to moving past them. With the right mindset and a supportive approach, learning from failures can become a powerful way to keep growing toward success and your dreams.
Joey is a relatable person without pretense. This fits my needs perfectly. About 6 weeks into the coaching and I have gone from the sense of complete overwhelm to excitement. This is no joke. I find the process logical and it fits into my already busy schedule. If you are willing to put in the work you will get great results.

Start with the reason you haven't achieved your goal.
Celebrate something you did yesterday about the area in question. It can be big or small.
Declare your goal(s) in that area.
Explore what is and isn't working regarding your goals.
Create a list of possible actions by asking what your core values say to do regarding your goals.
Do at least one action today.
Repeat the process tomorrow by celebrating the actions you took today.
Continue until you achieve your goal.
Working with Joey has been a revelation. Through his program, we discovered that I subconsciously follow my own process when I am successful. Joey’s method helped me recognize and refine this inherent process, integrating it seamlessly into my daily life and business. His approach has brought me greater clarity, confidence, and consistency in achieving my goals - "my way." I am truly grateful for Joey’s insight and guidance.
The Science Behind the Powder Day Mindset
Each step of the Powder Day Mindset is backed by research, helping you turn failure into success and build a foundation for growth:
Celebrate: Celebrating small wins increases dopamine, energy, and motivation (Seligman, Flourish; Fredrickson, Positivity; Lyubomirsky, The How of Happiness). Recognizing progress keeps you positive and resilient, making it easier to stay on course.
Declaring Goals: Goal-setting creates identity, commitment, and alignment (Miller, Creating Your Best Life; Pink, Drive; Clear, Atomic Habits). When your goals are clear, you build resilience by focusing on what truly matters.
Exploration: Exploring what works and what doesn’t creates self-awareness, groundedness, and clarity (Brown, Daring Greatly; Dweck, Mindset; Rubin, The Creative Act). Reflection helps you see failure as a source of valuable feedback, not just a setback.
Values-Based Plans: Planning actions based on values fosters problem-solving, motivation, and creativity (Deci & Ryan, Self-Determination Theory; Miller, Building a StoryBrand; Seelig, inGenius). Values-driven actions keep you connected to your purpose, making it easier to persevere.
Action: Consistent action builds momentum, confidence, and growth (Vaynerchuk, Crush It!; Ajayi Jones, Professional Troublemaker; Robbins, The 5-Second Rule). By acting regularly, you reinforce new habits, transforming setbacks into stepping stones
Plus Repetition (the secret sauce): Repeating the steps creates mastery, resilience, and hope (Duckworth, Grit; Ericsson, Peak; Sharma, The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari). With each cycle, you build mental strength, determination, and a growing belief in your ability to achieve success.
With these science-backed steps, the Powder Day Mindset empowers you to learn from every experience. It uses repetition to build the resilience and mastery needed to reach your dreams.

About six months ago, I hit a wall and stopped doing my morning routine after doing it for years. I knew my routine helped me, but I didn’t have the energy to get it back going. But after answering your celebration questions for the past few days, I felt my energy return, and I feel like I’m back. It only took a few minutes each day and made a huge difference.
